Vets Field at Capacity for Memorial Cup
The Squizzy Taylor Memorial Cup was held yesterday at Singleton Golf Club, with a full field of veterans enjoying perfect autumn conditions. The weather couldn’t have been better for this special event, which honours the memory of Squizzy Taylor and brings together our golfing community.
Congratulations to Arne Coulston, who took out the cup with an outstanding score of 41 points – an impressive 71 off the stick! It was a cracking performance that stood out in a competitive field, and Arne can be proud of his achievement on the day.
Special Presentation by Jane Taylor
A huge thankyou goes to Squizzy’s daughter Jane, who not only played in the event but also presented the cup to the winner. Her participation and involvement made the day even more meaningful, connecting past and present in a wonderful way. It’s these personal touches that make memorial events so special at our club.
Thank you to all the veterans who participated and made the day such a success. The Squizzy Taylor Memorial Cup continues to be an important fixture on our calendar, celebrating both the game we love and the members who have been part of our club’s rich history.
