Greens Renovation Nearly Complete
Another greens renovation is almost done and dusted at Singleton Golf Club! The team has been hard at work pushing and picking up cores off the greens, and we’re pleased to say the end is in sight.
A huge thank you goes out to Steve and our incredible Volunteer Team who showed up to lend a hand. Coring and cleaning up greens is no easy task – it’s physically demanding work – but it’s an essential part of keeping our playing surfaces in top condition, especially as we head into the warmer months.
Why Greens Renovation Matters
Greens renovation, including the process of coring and removing plugs, helps relieve compaction, improve drainage, and encourage healthy root growth. The short-term disruption to playing conditions is well worth it for the long-term health and quality of the greens. As the warmer weather approaches, having well-maintained, resilient greens makes a real difference to the playing experience for all members and visitors.
Our greenkeeping team works tirelessly behind the scenes to maintain the course, and days like these – where volunteers roll up their sleeves and pitch in – make a genuine difference to what can be achieved.
Thank You to Our Volunteers
We simply can’t thank our Volunteers enough for their continued support and commitment to helping look after the course. The effort that goes into turning up and tackling this kind of work is greatly appreciated by everyone at the club. We hope to keep seeing a strong Volunteer crew involved in future course maintenance days – your help means the world to us.
