Green Renovations in Progress
You think fixing your pitch mark on each hole is hard? Have a go at what our amazing volunteers tackled this morning – clearing the cores from the greens as part of our Autumn Green Renovations. It’s a massive job that requires dedication and hard work, and our team stepped up brilliantly.
A huge thankyou to Steve and the team for getting our Autumn Green Renovations started this morning. Your efforts are appreciated more than you know. This essential maintenance work ensures our greens remain in top condition for all members and guests throughout the year.
Course Closure Information
Please note that the course will be closed again tomorrow for sanding as we continue the renovation process. We’ll be reopening on Thursday, so you can get back out on the course and enjoy the improved playing surfaces.
Green renovations are a vital part of maintaining a quality golf course. The process involves coring, which removes small plugs of turf to reduce soil compaction and improve drainage. Once the cores are cleared, we apply sand to fill the holes and create a smoother, healthier playing surface. While it causes a brief disruption, the long-term benefits for our greens are significant.
We appreciate your patience and understanding during this maintenance period. The temporary closure allows our team to complete the work efficiently and ensures you’ll have the best possible playing conditions when we reopen.
