Working Bee – Creek Bridge Project at Singleton Golf Club

Wednesday Working Bee

Another Working Bee is planned for Wednesday 28th January from 8am at Singleton Golf Club. We’re tackling an important course improvement project and we’d love your help to make it happen.

The Project

The job at hand is installing concrete railway sleepers on our new creek bridges to reduce the washouts at the entry sides. It’s essential work that will improve the course and prevent ongoing maintenance issues caused by water erosion.

We’ll have the amazing Bango from Singleton Earthmoving onsite to do the heavy lifting with his machines. However, we require some spotters and keen shovellers to help move soil around and ensure the project runs smoothly. Your assistance will make a real difference to the quality of our course.

What to Expect

Only one bridge will be blocked off at a time to reduce any inconvenience to golfers, so play can continue throughout the day. We’ve planned the work carefully to minimise disruption while getting this important job done.

Helpers will be rewarded with a cool drink or two afterwards back in the bar. It’s a great opportunity to contribute to the club, meet fellow members, and enjoy some well-earned refreshments when the work is complete.

If you’re available on Wednesday 28th January from 8am and don’t mind getting your hands dirty for a few hours, we’d be grateful for your help. Every pair of hands makes the job easier and helps maintain the excellent condition of our course.
