Pennant Results: Strong Start for Singleton Golf Club

Weekend Pennant Success

What a fantastic start to the pennant season for Singleton Golf Club! Our teams showed tremendous skill and determination across multiple grades this weekend, with some outstanding individual performances that set the tone for the season ahead.

A Grade Dominates at Cypress Lakes

A Grade travelled to Cypress Lakes and delivered a commanding 4-1 victory over Muswellbrook. Cameron Johanson led the charge with an impressive 8/6 win, while Lee Heuston secured a tight 1 up victory. Will “The Thrill” Geddes lived up to his nickname with a solid 6/4 win, and Shannon Bluhm sealed the team victory with another 1 up result. Nick Carey fought hard but went down 6/5 in a close match.

B Grade Makes Statement Win

B Grade kicked off their season at Rydges in style with a huge 4-1 win over Branxton. Kyle Bailey won 3/1, while both Boof and John Rock secured 3/2 victories. Dave Palmer rounded out the winning performances with a 2/1 result. Sean Britton pushed hard but lost 6/5 in what was another tight contest.

C Grade Claims Home Ground Advantage

C Grade capitalised on playing at home against Maitland, securing a 3/2 victory. Jamie McWilliams won 4/3 and Alan Burns delivered a strong 3/1 performance. Steve Lawrence and Tyler Dorn both squared their matches, while Mark Henderson went down 1 down in a closely fought encounter.

Our Seniors played at Scone against Aberdeen and unfortunately went down 2/1, but showed great spirit throughout their matches. Ladies Pennants kicks off next Monday at Kurri, and we wish them all the best.
