Protecting Our Blue Tree at Singleton Golf Club

October 26, 2026

A Symbol of Mental Health Awareness Targeted by Theft

We are incredibly disappointed to share that our Blue Tree at Singleton Golf Club was damaged and had items stolen from it over the weekend. This is not something we take lightly, and we want our community to know exactly where we stand.

The Blue Tree is a symbol of mental health awareness and support – a place that encourages open conversations about something that matters deeply to so many people. It represents the kind of community we strive to be: compassionate, connected and willing to look out for one another.

One of our generous members took it upon himself to donate solar lights to illuminate the tree, only to have those items stolen. He then replaced them at his own expense. To that member – thank you. Your kindness and commitment to this cause reflect everything that is good about our club community, and we are truly grateful.

Taking Steps to Protect What Matters

This incident is about far more than stolen equipment. It is about respect – for our community, for the generosity of our members, and for a cause that genuinely saves lives. We will not allow this behaviour to diminish what the Blue Tree represents.

In response, we are taking measures to protect these assets, including the installation of security cameras. We are committed to ensuring the Blue Tree remains a safe and meaningful fixture at Singleton Golf Club.

We ask everyone in our community to continue supporting the Blue Tree and the important message behind it. Let’s stand together and make sure its meaning stays at the heart of everything we do.
